Books I Read In 2014.
Wednesday, December 31, 2014I count my years through my books. This year was tragically sad. I only read a few.
But I'd like to encourage you to post a photo of (or write about) all the books you have read this year, and tag your friends to do the same. Let's see how many books we have read collectively. Perhaps I have read the same as yours. I tag: Katrin, Virkky Mums, Awais, Soumya, Wildflower, Shreya, Wanderer, Launna, Mirage, Momina, Afixxion Addixt, The Other Side of Me, Rajesh, and Ellen
Please feel free to take this even if you are not tagged. Don't forget to let me know once you do. Looking forward to it!

Thank you so much for tagging me! :) You are so sweet! I did not read as many books as I wanted in 2014, I hope 2015 will be a lot better! Into thin air is such a good book!
ReplyDeleteI did not read as many books as I wanted too... wow, time gets away so easily... that is a plan I want to accomplish is 2015... many more books, I used to love getting lost in them xox

ReplyDeleteGood wishes!
I may take this challenge. I read "The Wild" from the stack you have listed and I may borrow the other titles to add to my reading. I read more this year because I had to babysit my old washing machine in the basement (now gone). Sadly, I probably won't have pics, as I read on my nook. Which refuses to charge. !!! :(
ReplyDeleteI may be sitting at my computer desk reading this year.
I hope you get to read many more and I am looking forward to reading what you have read this year :-)
DeleteHappy new year love!
ReplyDeleteThank you for tagging me. I have shared my list too.
We both read Wild in 2014.. the story is emotionally intense, isn't it!
Yes, I really liked that book :-). Thanks for doing the tag.
DeleteYou seem a voracious reader.May be it is part of your work too.

DeleteOkay, I did this thing. :D
ReplyDeleteI'm a bibliophile too. This year I bought a lot of books but was only able to read a few. Haha.
ReplyDeleteHope this year will be different. And I hope your year will be productive too.
Aww, I hope you get to read a lot more next year :-)
DeleteThis was a good year for me in terms of the amount of books I read :-) I won't spam this space with the list of books I read the last year but I would definitely like to recommend to you books by Elif Shafak and Devdutt Patnaik if you haven't read them already or if their work interests you :-) Happy New Year!
ReplyDeleteI will definitely look into these books - thank you :-)

ReplyDeleteBooks frankly are the best company. I was a voracious reader in 2014, managed reading around a thirty five. Hoping 2015 will be better :-)
ReplyDeleteWow, that's amazing! You should share your titles :-)
DeleteForty Rules of Love.
ReplyDeleteDavid & Goliath
The Shiva Trilogy
Beloved
The Moon and Six Pence
And numerous titles that remain half read.... :)
Beloved is a great book - will check out the others too - thanks for sharing :-)
DeleteInto Thin Air, Wild..seems you are into some i-am-in-a-solitude-journey state of mind. I am waiting for Wild to be released (in torrent of course).
ReplyDeleteI read The Stranger (Albert Camus), Light on Yoga (BKS Iyenger), two Bengali Books, Walking (Thoreau), Meeting with Remarkable Men (GI Gurdijieff), The Romantics (Pankaj Mishra), Jonathan Livingston Seagull (Richard Bach), Steppenwolf (Hermann Hesse), Words (Satre), Discovery of India (rereading), Paranormal projects behind Iron Curtain, Mystic Musings (Sadhguru), A book on Ladakh
I am not just in the state of mind - I am that person :-). Wild is good - hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
DeleteAlso, I like The Stranger a lot and Words is one of my favorite books!
That's great :-)
ReplyDeleteI'm very new at reading books, I mean outside academic reading. The year 2014 broke that consistency of the academic boring studies and I tasted some of the tastiest books. This is the exact sequence: The Great Gatsy, Think and Grow Rich, Tale of two cities, How to read a book, Black Beauty, Lamott bird by bird, Oliver Twist (lol), Hard Times, On writing Memoir, The talent Code, and The Little Prince. I'll start my reading again from May or June this year when get free, First book might be The unbroken. As I can't buy them, because there aren't available here at my place, I am reading mostly pdf versions. You people are lucky to have hard covers, here I guess people are busy in matters of consequence. Almost, no reading culture here at Hyderabad, Sindh. Even Karachi offers a little hope when it comes to searching for books. What a pity!
