[1] My Sister Says...

I have a little sister. Did I ever tell you that? She is 11 now, and she follows me around whenever she can. She is the most phenomenal kid I have ever come across. She speaks the plain unvarnished truth. She dishes it out in no uncertain terms, with heartfelt emotion coloring each phrase. Here are few of the 'truths' she says...

[for reference, she calls me "Appa" = Big Sister]

"Mom, I do exactly what you want me to do.... *Pauses*... Eventually."
----

Raaji: What is my ipod doing on the floor? See, that is why I dont give you my things.
Sister: Appa, I just put it down on the floor so that I dont drop it. Geez, I am taking care of your things.
----

"Appa, you are so mean! I swear you have horns under those pretty hair of yours!"

----

Quietly laying on the couch for  half an hour or so...
Raaji: Lazy bum, get up and do something.
Sister: I am doing something.
Raaji: And what is that?
Sister: I am thinking! :-)
----

Siting on her desk in a deep thought...
Raaji: So, what is going on in the pretty little head of yours?
Sister (touching her head): Its pretty, isn't it?
----

Sister: They said there would be a lot of humidibity out today.
Raaji (knowing fully what she meant): The what?
Sister: Humi-di-bity.
Raaji: Humidity?
Sister: Oh yeah, that.
-You should hear her say this word :-P
----

Raaji: So if you could change one thing about school, what would you do?
Sister: Burn it down.
----

More soon...

:-)

  9. Raaji, I swear kids can be soo sweet!! My cousin's daughter Vanshika is like that too. One night, she was eating her dinner, and her mom asked her, Why are u eating so slowly? She says, "Mama, but my mouth not working!".. she is only 4 years old!!
And she says, "dadu, you no go" whenever her dadaji is going out. :)
The way they talk is the highlight.

Thanks for sharing the sweet moments with us.
